Episode 48 – Special Guest Lana Eagle
About The Episode
As an industry in Canada that is the largest heavy industrial employer of indigenous peoples and will probably continue to grow as we explore and develop mineral resources, I feel that I am not fully educated and probably naïve regarding this topic and my hope is that through this conversation maybe you as well may better understand and help you through this journey of Truth and Reconciliation in our professional and personal lives. To help us better understand where we are and where we need to go from here, joining me is Lana Eagle. Lana runs her own consulting firm helping Aboriginal communities and industry work together to address economic development, skills, and employment challenges. Lana is no stranger to our industry as she is a Director with Canadian Institute of Mining and Director with the Association of Mineral Exploration of British Colombia and the Chair for the AME BC Aboriginal Relations Committee.
