Concrete Canvas Ltd. (Concrete Canvas), manufacturer and inventor of the innovative Concrete Canvas® GCCM*; and Titan Environmental Containment (Titan) are pleased to announce the renewal of their sales partnership with signing of a new three-year Canadian distribution agreement which continues to make Titan the exclusive distributor for Concrete Canvas® (CC) in Canada.
Building on this successful partnership, the two companies are excited to also announce the expansion of Titan’s distribution of CC into the USA through their subsidiaries, Titan Environmental USA, and Concrete Canvas USA. This expansion comes with an additional agreement granting Titan exclusive distribution rights for Concrete Canvas® throughout the states of California, Nevada, and Arizona. This agreement also grants Titan exclusivity of Concrete Canvas® distribution in the mining sector in the Western USA, including the Western territory of New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Montana.
“We’re delighted to be renewing our partnership with Titan and to build upon the exponential growth that both companies are seeing across the Canadian geosynthetic market. Over the past 3 years in challenging conditions, Titan have demonstrated a passion and excellence for innovation to match our own, and we’re incredibly excited to see what the future holds as we continue to develop GCCM’s and their applications in the erosion control market,” says Phill Greer, UK & North America Business Development Manager for Concrete Canvas.
“We, at Titan, are thrilled to have extended our exclusive Canadian distribution agreement with Concrete Canvas and are equally excited to enter into an agreement allowing us to expand distribution of CC into the U.S. market,” says Juice Lambert, VP of Sales for Titan. “We are proud to continue representing this quality premium product and look forward to ongoing growth and success in the many sectors we serve.”
Concrete Canvas® is part of a revolutionary new class of construction materials called Geosynthetic Cementitious Composite Mats (GCCMs). It is a flexible, concrete filled geotextile that hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable and waterproof concrete layer. Essentially, it’s Concrete on a Roll™. Concrete Canvas® GCCM (CC) allows concrete construction without the need for plant or mixing equipment: just add water. CC consists of a 3-dimensional fibre matrix containing a specially formulated dry concrete mix. A PVC backing on one surface of the CC ensures the material has excellent impermeability. CC can be hydrated either by spraying or by being fully immersed in water. Once set, the fibres reinforce the concrete, preventing crack propagation and providing a safe plastic failure mode.
Due to the versatility of Concrete Canvas®, its speed of installation and low logistical footprint, the demand for the product continues to grow worldwide. Products have been used in over 80 countries. CC has several core applications, with the main one being channel lining for scour and erosion protection. Other applications include, but are not limited to, bund lining, slope protection, weed suppression and remediation of existing concrete infrastructure. It is used in a wide variety of sectors, including but not limited to mining, oil and gas, public utilities, water and waste management, and civil infrastructure.
“Titan has been a CC partner and advocate for many years in Canada and we look forward to bringing their expertise and knowledge to the US geosynthetic and erosion control market. Together, CC USA and Titan will be able to achieve rapid expansion of GCCM’s into their key markets by delivering quality and innovative products to the engineering community,” says Melanie Fuhrman, General Manager for CC USA
The continued and expanded partnership between Titan and Concrete Canvas is based upon a mutual desire to develop and market innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly geosynthetic products for construction projects in a range of sectors.
