- Rio Tinto Group is optimistic that the Trump administration will approve the Resolution copper project in Arizona and end a 12-year permitting process, CEO Jakob Stausholm told the Financial Times. Rio Tinto owns 55% of Resolution, and mining giant BHP Group Ltd. holds a 45% stake. Once operational, the project can meet nearly 25% of US copper demand each year.
