- Vale and German hot metal producer Rogesa Roheisengesellschaft Saar Mit Beschränkter Haftung have concluded a multiyear supply agreement for iron ore pellets intended to support the steelmakers' decarbonization path, Vale said. Under the agreement, Vale will supply blast furnace pellets to Rogesa from 2025 to 2027 and then start a flexible transition to direct reduction pellets supplies starting in 2028 following Rogesa's commissioning of a direct reduction plant at the Dillingen steelworks, it said.
