- Chile's Empresa Nacional de Minería, or Enami, released a list of companies to form a public-private alliance in the Salares Altoandinos lithium project. The list includes BYD Co. - Australia-based Galan Lithium Ltd. found a Chinese partner for its Hombre Muerto West lithium project in Argentina after its previously announced agreement with mining giant Glencore PLC fell through. China-headquartered Chengdu Chemphys Chemical Industry Co.
